Over the past three seasons, MacNaughton has become an increasingly important piece of the Whitecaps offense. A broken collarbone derailed his rookie season in 2014, when MacNaughton played only five points, but still scored a pair of goals. Returning healthy for his second season, the Tufts University product was an integral part of the Whitecaps in 2015, tallying two goals and three assists in the MLU Championship victory over the Seattle Rainmakers.

One of the fastest players in the league (along with teammate Tyler Chan), MacNaughton has spent the past several seasons using his speed and nose for the endzone to give defenders fits.  The 2016 season marked MacNaughton’s best yet, leading the Whitecaps in scoring (32) and goals (19), as well as finishing 5th in scoring in the entire Eastern Conference. MacNaughton’s increased production earned him recognition as a finalist for both the MVP and Offensive Player of the Year Awards in the Eastern Conference.
