DJ:

POSITION TITLE: DJ

REPORTS TO: Event Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: The DJ is responsible for providing live music and sound bytes in accordance with the Whitecaps’ game-day program. 

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

• Ownership of DJ equipment and speakers.

• Ability to work well with Event Coordinator.

• Ability to accomodate family friendly music requests from entertainment team.

• Hours: Arrive 1 hour before beginning of game. Last music to be played as crowd leaves. 

 This is a paid position.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Age 18+

• Ability to interact positively with large fan base

• Games are held on weekends.

Entertainment Team:

POSITION TITLE: Entertainment Team Member

REPORTS TO: Event Coordinator/Host

POSITION SUMMARY: Members of the Entertainment Team are responsible for providing entertainment to the crowd as determined by the Event Coordinator. The type of entertainment team is decided by the league and team Event Coordinators and different options include dance team, cheerleading, band, etc

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

• Energetic and Positive personality

• Ability to work well with Event Coordinator.

• Ability to accomodate a family friendly environment.

• Approach fans pre-game and in-game to find participants for games and contests.

Answer questions fans may have about the game and gameday event(s).

• Hours: Arrive 1 hour before beginning of game. Last music to be played as crowd leaves. 

 This is a paid position.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Age 18+

• Ability to interact positively with large fan base

• Games are predominantly held on nights and weekends.

Gameday Staff:
The Game Day Staff assists the management staff in running the game-day operations. This is an unpaid position.
Gameday Reporter:
The Game Day Reporter is responsible for writing articles about the team, as well as previews and recaps of each game, which will then be published on the Whitecaps website.
Graphic Design Intern:
The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for assisting the design team with the graphics requirements of the Spinners’ website and other media.
Host:
The game-day voice of the Whitecaps, the Host is responsible for live announcements and updates over the PA system. The Host reports to the Event Coordinator. This is a paid position.
Management Staff:
The Management Staff assists the management staff with the day-to-day responsibilities of running and supporting the Whitecaps. .
Merchandise Manager:
The Merchandise Manager is responsible for manning the merchandise table and ensuring that all cash is properly handled and delivered to the Operations Manager. This is a paid position.
Officials:
Officials are in charge of refereeing each game, and each type of official has a different responsibility. These positions are paid are each game requires : 1 Head Referee, 2 Field Referees, 2 Sideline Referees, 1 Scoreboard Referee and 1 Backup Referee.
Physical Trainer:
The Physical Trainer is responsible for providing basic medical care and athlete care during games. This is a paid position.
Social Media Staff:
The Social Media staff is responsible for helping the team’s Content Manager with all Whitecaps social media accounts during the game.

Statkeeper:

Statkeepers are responsible for accurately entering live statistics into the MLU statistical database during home games. Reporting to the league’s Statistical Research & Analysis Coordinator to assure statistics accuracy after games completion. This is a paid position, use of a personal laptop computer is required.

Ticket Manager:
The Ticket Manager is responsible for manning the ticket table and ensuring that all cash is properly handled and delivered to the Operations Manager. This is a paid position.
